Overview

Water Technology was engaged by Brookfield Lakes Pty Ltd to undertake a preliminary review of stormwater issues  associated with the development of Brookfield Lakes. This investigation involved:

• Surface Water Management Assessment – Extensive hydrologic examination of development site with catchment delineation and hydrological model calibration, volume storage requirement based on 100 year ARI and 1 year ARI calculations.
• Stormwater Management Plan – Assessment and evaluation of potential WSUD options, MUSIC modelling and assessment of preferred WSUD option. Conceptual design of complete treatment features including wetlands, GPTs, swales and retarding basins.
• Erosion Management Plan – Assessment of site erosion potential, evaluation of Erosion Control Devices and potential site applicability.

In consultation with the referral authorities, Water Technology designed an attractive linear wetland system within the drainage reserve.  This system met both water quality and flood retention requirements for the site, while also improving the aesthetic and habitat values for the creek.
