Overview

Water Technology developed a River Management Plan (RMP) for the Travellers reach on behalf of the NSW Office of Water who is responsible for the management of the Hume to Yarrawonga reach of the River Murray. The RMP aims to assist the DWE in identifying the features, values and issues for the river and its associated floodplain features including anabranches.

A conceptual design was also developed which:

• indicates the types of works required to manage for the identified values, threats and objectives
• seeks to achieve a balanced management approach for the reach
• identifies the need for additional data collection and detailed analysis and appropriate requirements for monitoring
• allows for the application of activities at scales that range from whole of reach to individual sites
