Overview

The Toowoomba Regional Planning Project (RPP), currently being developed by the Toowoomba Regional Council (TRC) for implementation in 2011, is aimed at developing one integrated planning scheme which covers the entire regional council area.

Water Technology was commissioned by TRC to carry out a flood study. As a specialist component of the RPP, work items included collation of existing flood data, provision of GIS layers of flood data to study team members, review of existing flood studies, other waterway and “pseudo-flood” data, and provision of advice on the applicability of existing flood and other waterway data for use in the Planning Scheme.
