Overview
Water Technology was commissioned by the Wellington Shire Council to develop a coastal hazard assessment of the area between Seaspray and Paradise Beach along Ninety Mile Beach.
The coastal hazard assessment was undertaken in order to more confidently define the extent of the existing coastline hazards and to assess the potential extent of future coastline hazards due to climate change. A geomorphology review and detailed short term beach erosion and long term coastal recession modelling assessments were undertaken in order to develop the coastal hazard risk assessment to assist with future decision making and planning.
